Art Center

Art Center


Also known as Taman Werdi Budaya, Art Center is located on Jl. Nusa Indah in Abian Kapas, a suburb of Denpasar. 15-minute walk from the east of Kreneng station. Set in a restful garden with lotus ponds amid richly carved baroque (Balinese buildings), the Taman Werdi Budaya houses exhibits of modern painting, masks, and wood carving featuring both Balinese and Indonesian artists. Dances are also regularly staged for the public, including modern Balinese choreography.

Bajra Sandhi Monument


Bajra Sandhi Monument is a major landmark in Denpasar, set right in the centre of the Renon Square (locally referred to ‘Puputan Renon’). The site is located 20-minutes away from Hotel NEO Denpasa and adjacent the Bali Governor’s office, and is hard to miss with its grand structure that resembles a Balinese Hindu priest’s praying bell, or ‘bajra’. Inside the base is a museum that displays various historical dioramas of the people’s past struggle for Independence.

Pemecutan Palace


Pemecutan Palace is located on Thamrin Street, about 200 m west of Puputan Square. The palace was built in the 16th century and is well known for its unique Balinese traditional architecture and for its beautiful royal family shrines. The palace is divided into two main compounds: the living quarters and pemerajan (place of worship). A huge split gate brings visitors to the spacious outer courtyard, where in the past the local communities performed dances and other performing arts. A bell tower, where the hollow wooden drum is kept, and a pavilion for a gamelan musical ensemble are the two main buildings in this yard.

Bali Museum

The Bali Museum is a museum of art and history located on the east side of the central square of Denpasar, Taman Puputan. The museum was built in 1931 by architect P.J. Moojen, near the location of the former royal palace of Denpasar. There are four main buildings inside the museum, Tabanan displaying theatrical masks and musical instruments, Karangasem sculptures and paintings, Buleleng textiles, and Timur with archeological finds.

Sidik Jari Museum

Tiara Dewata Supermarket & Department Store is a two-storey building housing a department store, a supermarket, various outlets and stalls, a food court and a kids’ center. Tiara Dewata is also have swimming pool on their southeast corner. You can easily find men and women’s clothes, bags, footwear, cosmetics, handicraft, and foot product on the first floor. Children’s clothes, books, stationery items, and musical instruments can be found on the second floor. Sanur is a seaside town in the southeast of Bali. Its long stretch of beach offers shallow waters. Colorful jukung fishing boats rest on the sand, backed by a paved cycling path. The Pura Blanjong temple is built from coral and has inscriptions dating from the 10th century. The leafy main street Jalan Danau Tamblingan is lined with art galleries and restaurants. Puputan Square

Puputan Square


Puputan Square is situated on Jalan Dauh Puri Kangin on West Denpasar, it takes about 15-minutes drive from Hotel NEO Denpasar. Puputan is a Balinese term that refers to a mass ritual suicide in preference to facing the humiliation of surrender. Puputan occurred in 1906 and 1908 when the Balinese people were being subjugated by the Dutch. At present, Puputan Square is equipped with custom sport equipment and jogging track.
